MPDU is NID Madhya Pradesh’s annual design fest, which has been conceptualised to serve as a platform for institutions imparting design education, professionals and industry to come together, share information and build long-lasting relationships.
The fest is a step towards bringing India’s design spectrum together and provide an opportunity to businesses, design students, Government functionaries and the general public to interact with them. It is a grand confluence showcasing different design avatars in the form of talks by renowned speakers, panel discussions, start-up sessions, installations, exhibition stalls, workshops, and various cultural performances.
In the inaugural year, MPDU was organised from 19th to 21st December 2019.

The Institute regularly conducts various training and collaborative events such as seminars, symposiums, panel discussions, talks by eminent personalities etc to promote design, art and culture. THINK IN provides opportunities to students, academicians, design professionals, industry and Government officials to exchange views and opinions, address and debate questions on relevant issues and generate solutions for the benefit of society.
NID MP organised a Symposium “THINK IN - Sustainable Design & Humanism - A road map from Industry 4.0 to Society 5.0” on 19th December 2019, to put the spotlight on the ways that design institutions can embed sustainable development & humanism as core values in their missions. The event focussed on showcasing, explaining and sharing scientific research, innovative practices, projects, programmes and initiatives with the aim of implementing the ‘Agenda of transformation from INDUSTRY 4.0 to SOCIETY 5.0’.
