NID MP Faculty's Noteworthy Achievement in Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)

Beyond our standard teaching and learning activities, the faculty at the institute actively participates in research and publication. Notably, the successful registration of a design with the Indian Patent Office reflects the collaborative efforts of esteemed faculty members, including Mr. Rahul Sahni, Dr. Shabaridharan, and Dr. Rakesh K Vidhate, with dedicated support from our IPR Cell.




NID MP: First Certificate of Design Registration for NID MP

NID MP is thrilled to announce the issuance of the First Certificate of Design Registration in the name of National Institute of Design Madhya Pradesh, in collaboration with Ms. Meera Prakash Raichura and Dr. Rakesh K Vidhate, by the Indian Patent Office. This achievement marks a significant milestone in our quest for innovation, creativity, and the protection of intellectual property.




NID MP: (An ISO 9001:2015 Certified Institute)

Achieved Another Milestone: A significant one!
National Institute of Design, Madhya Pradesh is now ISO Certified. NID MP achieved ISO 9001:2015 accreditation with Quality Management Systems issued by Indian Register Quality Systems.

First Statutes of NIDMP

First Statutes of NIDMP, duly approved by the Hon'ble President of India, in her capacity as the Visitor of the Institute, have been published in the Gazette of India.




NID MP Students exceptional work in Intellectual Property

NIDMP celebrates World Intellectual Property Day-2023 by recognizing student achievements. IPR Cell has organized a felicitation ceremony to recognize the outstanding achievements of students. Three students from the Industrial Design Discipline awarded cash prize and letter of appreciation for their exceptional work in IPs: Mr. Dasari Ashwith Kumar for Patent Registration for his invention “Tranquilizer Dart", Ms. Rishika Jain for her Design Registration “Bathroom Chair for Senior Citizen", & Ms. Vinaya Shidore for her Design Registration "Sansakha - Workbench for Jute Craft Community".




NID MP students received award for designing the trophy for the Packaging design competition organized by FIPSA

Nivediata Mahajan and Vaidehi Santosh Pandit, the Winning team and, Tejaswee Patwari, Rama Sahasrabuddhe, Priyatham Gaddam, the 1st runner up team respectively received award for designing the trophy for the Packaging design competition organized by Foundation for Innovative Packaging & Sustainability, 2023 and National Institute of Design Madhya Pradesh as Knowledge Partner.




Winner entry in the documentary film making competition

A film made by Mr. Shubham Neware and Ms. Arika Shukla, students of the institute was amongst the winners in the documentary film making competition ‘A Day in the Life of Vanrakshak’, which was jointly organised by Pench Tiger Reserve and MP Tiger Foundation Society.




D'source Corona Design Challenge

D'source Corona Design Challenge was organised by the IDC School of Design, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay in May-June 2020. Participants were expected to follow a design process in solving the given problem with the steps of understanding the problem, analysis and ideation (the act of coming up with several concepts) resulting in a final solution. The following entries submitted by students of NID Madhya Pradesh were amongst the winning entries:




Design Competition from College Students of Professional Courses

India Government Mint Hyderabad had organized a design competition in April 2020 for college students in order to introduce new medals on the theme of “Buddha for peace and harmony of the world”. The sub-themes were “Four Buddhist monuments” and “Four Buddha postures”. Mr Shantanu Satpute, a student of the NID Madhya Pradesh was one of the winners.


Award for the excellence in built environment awarded to NIDMP campus

NID MP campus Architect received a commendation certificate in institutional category at the Indian Building Congress, which was presented by Sh. Hardeep Singh Puri (Minister of Civil Aviation and Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs) at the ceremony hosted at Vigyan Bhawan, Delhi on 6th January 2020.




Ms Setu Sharma, Faculty developed a logo for the “Bhavishya” scheme of the M.P. Warehousing and Logistics Corporation

M.P. Warehousing and Logistics Corporation runs warehouses for the scientific storage of agriculture and minors forest produce, seeds, manures, fertilizers, agricultural implements and notified commodities offered by individuals, co-operative societies and other institutions. Ms Setu Sharma, Faculty developed a logo for the “Bhavisaya” scheme of the Corporation.



Shri. Amit K Gehlot, Senior Faculty created a logo for the Deen Dayal Antyodaya Rasoi Yojana of the Government of Madhya Pradesh

Deendayal Antyodaya Rasoi Yojana is a subsidised meal scheme for poor, run by the Government of Madhya Pradesh. The scheme was launched by Shri. Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Chief Minister in 49 District headquarters across the state.


The institute is designing a logo and corporate identity for the National Gems and Jewellery Council of India (NGJCI).
